Yes folks the great Palin Couric Interview has concluded and left most of us with a feeling of “What The Fuck”, much the same way the the folks who support USC had after the USC loss to Oregon State. I am sure Sarah Palin will tell you in no uncertain terms the USC people were either non-christian heathens or simply they didn’t pray hard enough for victory and an oil pipeline through through their campus all the way to the great state of Alaska.
In a 40-minute session with Couric that aired Wednesday and Thursday nights, the Alaska governor defended her puzzling claim that geographic proximity makes her some sort of expert on Russia; went nearly blank when queried about McCain’s achievements as a big-business regulator; agreed America “may find itself” on the road to another Great Depression; and, promoting a troop surge in Afghanistan, casually suggested that it “will lead us to victory there, as it has proven to have done in Iraq.”
The last statement couldn’t help but conjure an image from 2003 — President Bush beaming in that green flight suit before the infamous “Mission Accomplished” banner.
Even in the world of softball journalism that Couric pitches Palin failed to get to first base with the American people. Her grandstanding for the crowd and general incompetence had out before she ever got started. Now that she wants to play with the big boys it is time she get off her ass and play our game the way American wants it. If she gets beamed in the head with a fast ball from a real journalist throwing hardball pitches, it was because she had her mouth running rather than having her eye on the ball.
In the end I am not sure who I am more disappointed with. Sarah Palin and Katie Couric met face to face as challengers for what should have been a brutal match pitting them against each other. After watching it, I felt more like Sarah Palin and Katie Couric were playing simply playing a school spirit lifter game of powder puff football. What happened to the Katie Couric who looked David Duke in the eyes and didn’t back down?

The topic of tonights debate isn’t about religion much to Sarah Palin’s dismay. If it was I am sure her faith in the powers that be would prove the election unnecessary. This debate is about evolution verses creation though.
Surprisingly enough John McCain has been choosing the side of evolution when it comes to his politics. He goes along in his own little world unaware that anything is actually broken and needs fixed. The system will evolve at its own pace and take care of the richest. The weakest, meaning the poorest, will get screwed, simply because they don’t matter to him or his process of governing.
On the side of creationism is Barack Obama. He takes as firm a stand as any creationist that we need change and it is to be started by the guy in charge. Like the biblical God he wishes to smite down the unworthy, take his people out from under the thumb of foreign powers, and empower the lowest of us to be our own messiah.
When you go to the polls, you need to ask yourself if you can survive this economy moving along letting the world sort itself out, or do you need someone who can in with the seeds of change already planted.

With the presidential debates quick at hand I find myself with questions I need to know the answers too. The first of many and maybe the most important of all is how will the next president deal with all the allegations of war crimes the current president has been accused of. Will the next president direct his attorney general to investigate those claims. Will he ignore them? Will he in Gerald Ford style simply pardon President Bush and his cronies in the name of healing? We claim to want this war to come to an end, but so long as these questions go unanswered this war will remain an ongoing event.

Over and over we keep here about John McCain’s integrity and honesty, but only from those so deluded that can’t see the lies through the rhetoric. The fact is John McCain wants to win, and win at all cost. There seems to be no stopping him when it comes to dishonest sleazy attacks. These aren’t little white lies either, the more bold and ostentatious the lie, the better he seems to like telling it. It sort of reminds of this quote:
The great masses of the people will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one.
Adolf Hitler
Mein Kampf
Even Karl Rove, the head of the previously held title of sleaziest campaigner says McCain has gone to far.

John McCain and Sarah Palin both claim to want to come in and change Washington, but here is Sarah Palin’s idea of change:
Judge warned Palin in 2005 to back off brother-in-law’s job - CNN.com
(CNN) — An Alaska judge warned Gov. Sarah Palin’s family against trying to get her then-brother-in-law fired, according to court records.
That warning came long before the controversy over her dismissal of the brother-in-law’s boss, the state’s public safety commissioner, records show.
Palin, the Republican nominee for vice president, is battling allegations she and her advisers pressured Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan to fire her sister’s husband, State Trooper Mike Wooten.
Palin’s sister, Molly McCann, and Wooten were in the process of getting a divorce when the judge hearing the couple’s case said McCann’s family appeared to be putting Wooten’s job at risk at a time when he would be required to pay child support.
This is the same kind of corrupt abusive behavior Washington has been dealing with during the Bush Administration. Palin is simply a defective Clone of W. Do you want her a heartbeat away from the oval office? If She will defy a state judge’s warning over trying to get her brother in law fired during a divorce, how badly will she flaunt orders from the Supreme Court.

The gloves have finally come off. In a recent campaign ad the Despicable John McCain has accused Barack Obama of being a pervert for wanting to protect your children from sexual predators. When I thought the lies from the right could sink no lower I found out about this on the Daily Kos.
I can’t do much more than draw your attention to the highlights and tell you that is important to go read it for yourself.
The latest barrel-scrapping effort from John McCain is an ad which states that Barack Obama wants to teach kindergartners about sex before they can read (see details and discussion here).
Barack Obama’s response: “It is shameful and downright perverse for the McCain campaign to use a bill that was written to protect young children from sexual predators as a recycled and discredited political attack against a father of two young girls – a position that his friend Mitt Romney also holds. Last week, John McCain told Time magazine he couldn’t define what honor was. Now we know why,” says Obama spokesman Bill Burton in an emailed statement.
There is simply no war wound or POW scar that matters now. McCain has shown himself unworthy of the term honor, much less the term man or father. What kind of man or father doesn’t want kids to be cautious of sexual predators, unless he himself is one. It no longer matters if Sarah Palin was the best mother in the world, or whether she would really make her ten year old daughter carry an incestuous baby to term. What matters now is the man heading the Republican ticket attacks those who would have told that girl it was wrong for her father to molest her. Sides have been chosen and John McCain has picked the wrong one.
I am beginning to wonder if John McCain shouldn’t have picked Mark Foley or Dan Crane as a running mate, they seem to be on the same page as far as this issue is concerned.

In a move that isn’t very surprising Barack Obama has picked Senator Joe Biden of Delaware as his running mate. This certainly will calm a lot of the critics in the party who believe Barack simply doesn’t have the experience needed for the job. Who this won’t silences are racists like John McCain who will always hold being black against Barack.
Let the real race finally begin Obama-Biden 2008. Make sure you stay tuned for an exciting day here are Brad’s Tiny World.

Grow the fuck up! We have been hearing for months now that some Clinton supporters claim they will vote McCain if Hillary is not the presidential candidate.
“We are all a nation together, there are 50 states, not 48,” said Constanta Nour-Hinkle, 35, who traveled by train from Reading, Pa. today to attend the rally. “I felt I needed to make my voice hear and I wanted to show solidarity with the 2.3 million voters [in Florida and Michigan] whose voices were not heard.”

Once again I think race has played a major role in an American contest. This time it is the Indiana Presidential Primary. Hillary Clinton won the state by a very narrow margin but it does appear she won there, but so what. We know many republicans secure in their own candidate intentionally crossed party lines to skew the voting. Indiana along with its eleven electoral votes has gone for a republican every cycle for the last forty years. Thinking that they will make a difference for the democrats in the Electoral College come next January is akin to thinking you have a chance at sleeping with two or three of America’s Top Models by then.
Had Barack won there on the other hand it wouldn’t be meaningless. Indiana along with being known for republicans and corn is also known for its racists. One should not pat Hillary on the back for beating Barack Obama in a state where the terms darkie and nigger are still widely used in public conversations. The fact that she didn’t win by a huge margin there only confirms she is not the right democratic candidate for November.

I no longer care who is the next president is. Okay maybe that is a bit harsh, I certainly don’t want it to be a lot of people. What I have decided I care about is the democrats taking a majority in the house and sixty seven seats in the Senate. I don’t really have warm cuddly feelings towards the democrats, they are just as prone to ass fuck me without giving me a reach around as the republicans are.
Who ever the next president is going to be faced with an insurmountable economic problem, the war is Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, the legacy of 9/11 and a bunch of angry poor people. The president is who we are all going to blame and then we will get a different one in four years. They are the person we put our hopes into and since we are such a fickle fucking lot, we will turn on them just as quickly as we cheer for them. They are also the person who can do squat without the approval of the house and senate.
That being said I am going to be a lot better off with the party not so inclined to listen to big business and filthy rich. I am going to be a lot better off with the democrats controlling two thirds plus of the senate when it comes to nominations. I am going to be a lot better off when it comes to pandering to us poor people.
I have no hope that we will get universal healthcare or even something all of us can afford. I have no hope of the price of gas ever coming down. I have no hope of getting much further ahead than I am now because of anything they have done. I do have hope that a democratic controlled house and senate, with democrats in charge of Ohio will mean surviving, even if I can’t turn things around myself.
So before you go casting your ballot this November ask yourself where you want to be in four years financially. Aim for the best, but prepare for the worst, because we have a very bumpy ride ahead of us.

I have been thinking all day on the subject of why Barack lost Pennsylvania. More specifically why Hillary won. The phrase elitist keeps coming back to my mind. Both Barack and Hillary are smart people, but there is a difference. Barack is too smart sometimes and thinks you are too. This works with me, his message comes across as an educated man speaking to another educated guy. To a good percentage of the keystone state he came off as just another uppity black man with more education than they had. Hillary on the other hand panders to the voters lack of intellectual prowess and won the day. She is still behind in the count and with Oprah on his side come November he will get a push like no one else has ever had. I find myself wondering what kind of VP Oprah would be. I am trying not to laugh at the middle east peace conferences she would no doubt be involved it. Would she bring out Dr Phil and have the Syrians and the Israelis sit down on the couch with him?
I am including in this a really well written article I found the free content site goarticle.com
Obama trying to educate American Public by Mac McMann

I have been sitting around wondering what my Sunday post would be, and then it was all of a sudden an hour before Monday. I have been perplexed by my friends in the GBLT community who still claim to be fundamentalist Christians. It had also been a while since I did a comparative tech piece so for all the Geeks and Gays in my buddy list, this one is for you!
What’s your Christian OS?
The best question one can ask during this political season is not are you a Christian, but “what kind of Christian are you?” Too often American’s settle for someone claiming to be Christian and calling it good enough. Oh sure they make a few distinctions between Catholics and protestants. For the most part though Americans can’t really define what is and isn’t protestant, except to say, not Catholic.

On the Election front, McCain clinched the republican nomination, which is no surprise. Hillary and Barack are still slugging it out which is worrisome to me. Too many democrats seem to be holding grudges and if the queer the deal in for us in the fall I don’t care if the are man or woman; black or white; gay or straight; young or old; if they can’t unify and screw the rest of us we need a great big old fashioned lynch mob to take care of the problem. Come on folks there is enough back biting in the party right now to get Marv Albert all hot and bothered. Get with the fucking program and remember what we are really fighting for, a win in November.

Well it is certainly campaign season now. How do I know? There is a plethora of people claiming to be Christians everywhere I go. I have nothing against candidates saying what they believe if they actually spelled out what it was they believe. Saying you are a Christian is like saying you are a clearance sale, you hope to attract as many people as you possible without telling them what you are really selling. What kind of Christian are you? You also shouldn’t be let off the hook easy by saying a I’m a Baptist, I’m a Mormon, or I am a Catholic. If you are going to throw your belief of Jesus being the earthly vessel then we need to hear what it is you really believe. Do you believe in free will or divine predestination? How do you interpret the book of revelations? Is the bible factual or allegorical? Will you work on the sabbath? Make your candidate answer these questions and more. Get a real measure of the man (or woman) by finding out exactly what kind of Christian they claim to be.
