Blogging for noobs has one clear focus, help noobs learn the skills that will transform them from blundering idiots into money making bloggers making as few mistakes as possible along the way.  We will examine how other bloggers started out, what they did right and where they went wrong.  Hopefully along the way I will get a of them to tell you those things in their own words.

So why focus on new bloggers?  That answer is pretty simple, too few other people do.  There are literally tens of thousands of sites telling bloggers how to do it right, and a few thousand of them do a pretty good job of it.  Too few of those good blogs are written in a way that doesn’t confuse or overload noobs.  Besides cluing in noobs is not going to be one of those niches that runs dry anytime soon.

Enjoy.

Every time you make a post you are selling yourself to the world.  This means you should be not only fact checking your story, it means the use of proper spelling and decent grammar are essential.  If your post looks and sounds like a sixth grader wrote it, that doesn’t mean you are good enough to be on So You Think You Are Smarter Than A fifth Grader.

Yes, we all make mistakes and sometimes we are the only person reading our posts, sometimes we just happen to be the smartest person reading our posts.  Either way mistakes in spelling, grammar, or facts creep into our posts and when you see them it is your responsibility to go in and edit them.

This blog is an extension of you and you need to treat it in a manner in which you think you deserve.  If you want people to notice you then you need to socialize with others and start joining social networks.  The biggest reason for joining networks such as Digg, Del.Icio.us, StumbleUpon, Sphinn and others is you lack an advertising budget.

In this noob series we are going to examine the way a number of successful bloggers started out.  Today’s honoree is John Cow. The site as some of you might have guessed was meant as a spoof of John Chow’s blog.

If you look at John Cows first couple of post it does some of the most important things a new blogger can do, state their purpose.  IN this case that purpose is clear and simple, make money.  They want to make it and by telling you how they plan to do it they set the hook in you.  Plain and simple.

No big surprises from washington over the Scott McClellan book.  People in power think he is horrible man for turning on his former boss.  Nothing screams we are a fraternal order of bullies and you shouldn’t mess with us, than a democrat coming out and saying poor president Bush, his former lackeys don’t like him.

Washington Times:

Terry McAuliffe, the former head of the Democratic National Committee who now is chairman of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign committee, said Mr. McClellan was “wrong” to write the book.
